Al-Haafidh ibn Rajab - may Allaah have mercy upon him - said:


"And verily, the woman prays in her house without a jilbaab, without any difference of opinion (amongst the scholars, regarding its permissibility).*"


- Fath Al-Bari (2/139)


* Meaning that she is allowed to pray without a jilbaab whilst maintaining the proper dress for the prayer, i.e. her feet, legs, body, arms, neck and head/hair must be covered, with it being a Sunnah to have the face uncovered. As for the hands, then it is better to cover them, but if they are uncovered then there is no harm inshaAllaah.
