Ramadān; A Banquet for the Stomachs? Or the Hearts?

Shaykh Ibn Uthaymīn (May Allah have Mercy upon him) said:


"Be wary of going into excess with regards to eating and drinking, for indeed people have taken Ramadān as a time of banquet/feast for their stomachs, not their hearts.


They have no concern other than that which is upon their Ifār and Suhūr table, things which they have no need of."
