Shaykh Rabī bin Hādi Umayr Al-Madhkhalī حفظه الله تعالى said:
"What we and the people know is that the Saudi government gives, and does not take, as in other countries (like in) Europe, America, and others.
These (Western) countries impose exorbitant and burdensome taxes on their people in various fields; on consumer materials, on homes, their rooms and windows, on lands, shops, factories, and private schools, on electricity, water, and gas, and a percentage of salaries is deducted for health insurance. This is their reality... etc., and the reality of the human rights in their systems and policies, and the reality of their democracy; which they make tremendous efforts to spread in Muslim countries to stir up strife and confusion among them, to shed their blood and waste their interests and money, and to distract some of them from one another from the (Zionist) Jews occupying Palestine. From among their greatest weapons, in the name of their democracy, are demonstrations that destroy souls, minds and property, and Westerners promote them because they are certain that these are its results. Let Muslims realise this, be proud of their religion, and adhere to it in all fields; belief, worship, sociality, morality, politics, and economics, for this brings happiness in this world and the hereafter.
The highest rate of suicide is in America. As a result of the miserable life that they live, as a result of burdensome taxes.
The highest rate of unemployment is in America, and many countries have their people living such situations and some are worse.
These are injustices, one on top of the other, that make those who fall into them fall into misery, sadness, and distress. Add to that moral corruption, social decadence, polytheism, and disbelief. And this is similar to what occurs in European and other countries that do not adhere to the law of Allāh.
Let a rational and fair person compare these conditions in the United States of America and elsewhere with the conditions in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the land of monotheism and the Sunnah and mercy towards its citizens."
