My Lord, Increase Me in Knowledge

Shaykhul- Islām ibn Taymiyyah (May Allāh have mercy upon Him) said :


"Allāh said:


{وَقُلْ رَبِّ زِدْنِي عِلْمًا}


[And say (O Muhammad): My Lord, increase me in knowledge].


So, that which is obligatory upon every believer is to have allegiance with the believers and the scholars of the believers. They must seek the truth and follow it wherever they find it. They should (also) know that those who strive to reach an Islamic verdict (from the scholars), if he is correct, then for them is two rewards. And if he strives and is mistaken, then he is rewarded for his striving, and his mistake is forgiven."
