Question posed to Sheikh Saalih Al-Fawzaan (may Allaah preserve him):
Q: May Allaah grant you good O virtuous Sheikh. What is the (level of) importance of memorising Kitab At-Tawheed?
A: It is of great importance. For indeed, this book is concerning understanding Tawheed, its belief and acting upon it. It is a very valuable book, and it consists of (only) "Allaah said" and "His Messenger said". There is nothing from the speech of Sheikh Muhammad bin Abdul Wahhaab, rather it is just Allaah and His Messenger said.
It begins with: "Kitab At-Tawheed, and the saying of Allaah, the Most High: (And I have not created Mankind nor Jinn except to worship Me (Alone)) - 51:56. There is nothing from the speech of the Sheikh, rather it is either an Ayah (Qur'anic verse), or a Hadeeth (prophetic narration) or derived conclusions based on the Ayah or Hadeeth.
