Sheikh Saalih Al-Fawzaan حفظه الله تعالى was asked:

Q: (On an occasion) I consumed my medicine after fajr in Ramadan, and I made up that day. Is there upon me an expiation?

A: No. The expiation is only obligatory for sexual intercourse in the day in Ramadan. As for breaking (the fast) with other than sexual intercourse, then it is obligatory to make up (that day) only.
