Shaykh Rabī ibn Hādī al-Madkhalī (may Allāh have mercy upon him) said:

The mudāhin is someone who sees and hears evils - such as innovations

or sins - but neither forbids them nor speaks against them. Instead, they appease the perpetrators.

Worse still, they may defend them, beautify their image, and testify that they are from Ahl al-Sunnah.

How much graver, then, is the sin of those who abandon the people of truth who call out these evils? How severe is their crime when they deceive the people by portraying falsehood as truth and truth as deviation, claiming that those upholding the correct methodology are misguided?

Such actions encourage the perpetrators of these evils to persist in their misguidance. They also mislead the weakhearted into thinking well of such individuals, causing

them to fall into their embrace, support them, and defend them. This has diverted many people from the methodology of the pious predecessors (manhaj al-salaf

al-ṣālih) in numerous lands.

To those who fall into this category: fear Allah. Reassess your positions with sincerity and honesty. Reflect on the

dangerous consequences of your actions, for which you will be held accountable before Allah on the Day when no

soul can avail another.

Reevaluate your inner circle seriously, for the matter is of great importance.

I remind them of the words of Allah, the Most High:

“Close friends, that Day, will be enemies to each other, except for the righteous.”

(al-Zukhruf: 67)
