Shaykh Ahmed An -Najmi (may Allāh have mercy upon him) said regarding the Ikhwān Al-Mufsidūn (the corrupting brotherhood; they call themselves the Muslim Brotherhood, but they are far from that):
"The Twenty-Fifth Observation:
That they encourage others to abandon the scholars of the Sunnah and call them insulting names, describing some as paid workers, and others as those who water down the religion.
At times, they say of them: "They are scholars of paper, scholars of menstruation and postpartum bleeding, and that they are ignorant of current affairs..." and so on, until the end of the dictionary of insults that their leaders have breathed into their chests.
They turn the youth away from them and show disinterest in them and their circles of knowledge. They do not view them except with contempt, and this creates a barrier and a veil that separates between these and those, meaning between the scholars and the students.
The result is often dire with evil consequences. This is because if they show disinterest in their scholars and accuse them of religious negligence, they will assess the affairs according to their desires and what their leaders lead them with, due to their ignorance of many of the religious rulings.
They will thus fall into many mistakes, thinking them to be correct, and they will continue upon them, causing acts of Sunnah to perish and innovations to spread and taught amongst them, up until a time comes when people precieve them to be Sunnah."
